National Neighbourhood Watch are sending Alerts out in relation to how Neighbourhood Watch can help during the Covid-19 pandemic. If there are any messages about Covid-19 in relation just to Cheshire these will be send out from Cheshire Police to anyone registered on the Cheshire Alert system. If you are not receiving these messages you can log into your account and change who you receive messages from. Due to the current restrictions the CNWA are currently working from home. We are trying to provide the same level of service where we can. Unfortunately, we have limited access to printed literature, however, pdf copies are available under the documents section of our website (link below). Due to this we are using the email account cheshirenw@outlook.com to respond to messages.
Cheshire Police have created a website to cover main roads closed due to flooding from Storm Chrisoph.
Please also assume that smaller roads nearby are likely to be affected.
Only travel if it’s essential, turn your headlights on and DO NOT attempt to drive through flood water – it only takes a small amount of water to seriously damage your engine, and puts you and others at risk.
There are useful accounts for updates/information contained on the website (link below).
The list may not be exclusive, or include roads that subsequently re-open. if you have to be out on the roads, take care – drive to the conditions and don’t take risks to save time.
