This was our first combined event with the AGM followed by a carol concert at St Peters Church.
The minutes of our 2023 AGM and treasurers report were approved and progress on all matters arising at the 2023 AGM were discussed, along with key goals for 2025.
Of particular note was the work done by Mick Confrey on ASB; which had progressively reduced to low levels due to persistent lobbying of the local police force.
Centurion House was a significant area of discussion as it neared completion and the committee were praised for the work done to prevent new residents from having access to parking permits; which otherwise would have put pressure on already tight availability for existing residents.
Kirkton house redevelopment was flagged as a significant “watching brief” for 2025.
Finally, the congestion on Northgate street due to taxi queuing for Abbey School was raised as an issue that needed rapid resolution in 2025.
Sue Houghton resigned from the committee after several years of outstanding service. Simon Lloyd, David Parish and Vicky Cutler were elected to serve on the committee.
