This was our annual get together for residents to discuss the past year, think about 2026 and have a carol concert.

The minutes from December 2024 AGM were approved as was the treasurers report.

Main areas of discussion were;

1. Northgate Street congestion caused by Abbey School has been solved via re-routing of the queue,

2. Changes to parking rules (equalising parking to 10 minutes and including Sundays for both Water Tower Street and Kings Buildings) and spaces (adding two more) making some progress but has been hampered by pushing two ideas at the same time – we’ll focus on getting the rules changed first for 2026.

3. Progress on Kirkton House – archeological excavations but no planning submitted yet.

4. Webbers casino – we failed to get it stopped but thanked all resident actions to lobby licensing.

5. WhatsApp Residents group growing (60+ members) and linked to Centurion House residents which will eventually allow us to stop paper communication (both green and a cost saving).

6. Summer event was well received and will be repeated for 2026.

Chris Fozzard gave an interesting talk on his book “The Chester Book Club” and signed copies.

Vicky Cutler was welcomed as a new committee member.
