The meeting concentrated on the arrangements for the summer event (Alexanders), getting the leaflet printed, adding a QR code to make it more easily link to our website and working out how to embrace the 28 new residents at Centurion House. We decided to offer a free drink to new Since Centurion House had a WhatsApp group already formed we decided to do a couple of things. Firstly to create a King Street Area Residents WhatsApp group; starting with the committee members and hoping ti would grow organically into something that would help bind the whole community together. Secondly, we also decided to make our association more approachable and less “formal”. Changing our name on the website from the acronym KSARA to King Street Area Residents Association was a start, as was bringing a lighter, more fun loving, less stuffy feel to events and meetings.
