We welcomed our new committee members (Simon Lloyd and Vicky Cutler) and got down to the nitty gritty of action for 2025.

Summer event (Alexanders) was confirmed for 10th August, with an emphasis on encouraging as many residents to attend as possible. The new residents at Centurion house were a key target for us to embrace with Simon Lloyd leading this.

As far as the AGM/Carol concert was concerned we had a collective epiphany; to try and de-emphasise the dull and dreary AGM bit and focus on describing it as a “fun filled get together for residents”. Date was pencilled in for 11th December.

One other point was the recognition that history of the area was highly appealing to residents and a key draw to any event that has it as a component. We will try and get a local history slot re-established at our December get together.

As banks now charge for services, we decide it made no sense for KSARA to bleed cash when we could move to a cashbook and petty cash system which was free (saving £60/year)
