Late Night Disturbance Update

On 23rd, 24th and 25th April 2018 PC Bostock was on patrol in the King Street/Water Tower Street area into the early hours of the morning.  His feedback was that there was limited noise on King Street and Water Tower Street, for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.  He stopped one couple and asked them to keep the noise down, to which they immediately responded.  He felt the main noise in the area came from Northgate Street.

PC Bostock has agreed to do more patrols in future if the issue persists, and in the meantime he is going to review any council CCTV in the area over the last week, and report any findings back.

We have been notified by the University Liaison Representative that both the residents at Powys Court and the residents at The Towpath have been reminded of the need to be respectful while in the local community and all of students were warned of the dangers of using the canal as a route back to their accommodation by the Advice and Representation Centre in Chester Students’ Union.

This is an issue which concerns all of us, and we would like to have a proper discussion at the Residents Forum on 17th June at Storyhouse, to share ideas to combat the issues, ready for the new term in September.  In the meantime, please keep a note of the times and dates of any specific disturbances.
